There is nothing quite
like an oldtime country auction in the South. It is more like
a family gathering than a place to buy and sell. Farmers and ranchers
who have not seen each
other in a while use the time between the buying and selling to
catch up with each other. But the auctions are serious business
for these people as
it generates income for them. Meanwhile, youngsters spend time
playing. Teen boys keep an eye out for their lovely counterparts.
Teen girls
spend the time flirting
and giggling about the boys. All in all, it is an ordinary life
that defines civilization.
